Job Description

The Sales Manager – Government is responsible for developing, managing, and growing business opportunities from government institutions, ministries, state-owned enterprises (SOEs/BUMN), local government agencies, embassies, and public sector organizations. The role focuses on maximizing room, meeting, banquet, and event revenue while ensuring compliance with government procurement policies and maintaining strong long-term client relationships.

 

Key Responsibilities

Government Business Development

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets within the government segment.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities from ministries, government agencies, local governments, SOEs/BUMN, embassies, and public sector organizations.
  • Conduct regular sales calls, courtesy visits, presentations, and relationship-building activities with government clients.
  • Build and maintain a strong database of government decision-makers and procurement officers.
  • Monitor government tenders, procurement opportunities, and official travel programs.

Qualifications

  • Strong government networking and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of government procurement and tender procedures.
  • Business development and strategic planning skills.
  • Strong presentation and influencing skills.
  • Analytical and reporting capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Good written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia.
