Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Purchasing Supervisor to join our dynamic procurement team in Istanbul, Türkiye. In this supervisory role, you'll play a pivotal part in driving our purchasing operations forward while supporting and mentoring team members. You'll work closely with vendors, internal stakeholders, and the Purchasing Manager to ensure efficient, cost-effective procurement processes that align with our organizational goals.   • Supervise and support procurement team members, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a collaborative and high-performing environment
  • Obtain competitive quotations from multiple suppliers and conduct thorough market surveys to ensure optimal pricing and value
  • Coordinate with vendors to guarantee timely delivery of materials and supplies, follow up on outstanding orders, and resolve any delivery issues promptly
  • Assist the Purchasing Manager with vendor negotiations, contract discussions, and cost-control initiatives to maximize savings and efficiency
  • Manage and maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier catalogs, inventory documentation, and procurement files to ensure transparency and compliance
  • Analyze vendor performance metrics and prepare reports to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement
  • Process and review purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies and budget constraints
  • Register new suppliers and maintain updated vendor databases with current pricing, terms, and performance information
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments to understand procurement needs and provide responsive, customer-focused service
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions to enhance purchasing operations

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:**

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of purchasing or procurement experience, with at least 1 to 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity
  • Proven expertise in vendor management, negotiation, and relationship building
  • Strong proficiency with procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisive, data-driven decisions
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal); additional languages are a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities simultaneously

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Experience in procurement within manufacturing, hospitality, or related industries
  • Knowledge of supply chain best practices and cost-control methodologies
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (APICS, CIPS, or equivalent)
  • Experience with vendor performance evaluation and supplier development programs
  • Strong budget management and financial acumen
  • Proven track record of implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiency
