Job Description

Porter – Bellperson (M/F/X)

As a Porter, you will be one of the first faces our guests encounter — playing a key role in the experience they will have at our iconic hotel. Your mission: to provide warm, thoughtful, and personalized service, where every gesture matters. You will welcome guests with elegance, assist them with their luggage, and ensure their vehicles are parked with care and professionalism.

Your presence and attentiveness will help create a strong connection with our guests, making them feel truly welcomed and valued throughout their stay.

Summary of Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager Front Office , essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Consistently provide professional, friendly, and engaging service

· Escort guests to their rooms, carry their luggage, messages, or other items throughout the hotel

· Ensure timely and efficient delivery or collection of luggage to/from guest rooms

· Help guests familiarize themselves with their room upon arrival (e.g., explaining how the thermostat works)

· Remain in the lobby after assisting with luggage to remain available for guest needs, under the guidance of the Assistant Head Concierge

· Inform guests about hotel facilities in a helpful and informative manner

· Provide information on local events, activities, and attractions

· Know and apply the technical and emotional LQA (Leading Quality Assurance) standards

· Commit to high service quality, discretion, and complete honesty

· Maintain a professional attitude, always smile, and remain calm in all situations

· Comply with ergonomic standards, health & safety regulations, and hygiene policies

· Adhere to departmental and company policies, procedures, and service standards

· Perform any other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  •  Previous experience in guest service
  •  Fluent in Portuguese and English
  •  Knowledge of a third language is an asset
  •  Previous experience in a 4* or 5* hotel is a plus
  •  Valid driver’s license required
  •  Highly responsible and reliable
  •  Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  •  Strong team player
  •  Attentive to guest needs while remaining calm and courteous at all times
  •  Interest in local tourism and activities
