Job Description

The People & Culture Executive supports payroll administration, employee records, recruitment, onboarding and employee relations. The role ensures payroll inputs, attendance records, employee data and HR documentation are accurate, confidential and processed within the required timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the monthly payroll process by collecting, reviewing and verifying attendance records, overtime, deductions, allowances, unpaid leave and other payroll-related inputs.
  • Ensure all payroll information is accurate, properly documented and submitted within the established payroll deadlines.
  • Maintain and regularly update employee payroll records, personal details, bank information, employment history, benefits and salary-related documentation.
  • Coordinate with department heads to resolve attendance discrepancies, missing punches, leave records and other payroll-related concerns.
  • Assist employees with payroll enquiries and ensure concerns regarding salaries, deductions and attendance are addressed professionally and promptly.
  • Prepare payroll reports, employee data updates and other HR management information reports as required.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee files, personnel records and departmental databases.
  • Conduct regular audits of payroll documents, attendance records, employee files and assigned HR processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, including maintaining the candidate database, screening applications, conducting interviews, completing reference checks, preparing offer letters and communicating with candidates.
  • Coordinate with the PRO regarding employment visas and manage the arrival and joining process of new employees.
  • Facilitate onboarding and orientation by preparing materials, arranging training sessions and ensuring all required documentation is completed.
  • Build positive employee relations and maintain open communication between employees and the People & Culture department.
  • Coordinate People & Culture activities with all hotel departments and provide administrative support to the wider HR team.
  • Prepare recruitment reports, HR updates, correspondence, letters, memos, presentations and other required documentation.
  • Organize meetings, manage calendars, prepare agendas, record minutes and follow up on pending action points.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, telephone calls, mail distribution and electronic and paper-based filing systems.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism, discretion and integrity.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of People & Culture policies, procedures and service standards.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies and all applicable health, hygiene, safety, security and fire regulations.
  • Perform additional duties and HR administrative tasks as reasonably assigned by management.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a People & Culture, Human Resources or payroll-related role, preferably within the hospitality industry

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field is preferred

Hands-on knowledge and experience using Oasys HRMS is required


Additional Information

  • Strong understanding of payroll administration, attendance management, employee records, recruitment and onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Excellent attention to detail when reviewing attendance, overtime, leave, deductions, allowances and other payroll-related information
  • Able to meet strict payroll deadlines and work extended hours during payroll closing and other peak operational periods
  • Demonstrates a high level of confidentiality when handling salary details, employee records and other sensitive information
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with employees and department heads
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Able to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities accurately in a fast-paced hospitality environment
  • Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, teamwork and a positive, approachable attitude.
  • Committed to continuous learning and developing knowledge of HR systems, UAE labour practices and People & Culture processes
