Lifeguard Supervisor

Our adventure camp in the Hatta mountains celebrates the land’s spirit, providing countless ways to play and explore the outdoors. Fifty caravans form a lively community inspired by nomadic exploration, surrounded by hiking and biking trails throughout mountainous terrain that immerse guests in the region’s natural beauty. A central restaurant fueled by local flavors is designed for guests to gather, and a wellness center offers restorative rituals drawing from local tradition. 

As a Lifeguard Supervisor at Caravan by Our Habitas Hatta, you will lead the day-to-day operation and safety of our pool and recreational water areas, ensuring guests can relax, play and enjoy their surroundings with confidence.

You will combine strong safety awareness with warm, attentive hospitality, supervising the lifeguard team, maintaining operational standards and ensuring emergency procedures are consistently understood and followed.

This role is ideal for a confident, observant and hands-on leader who takes safety seriously while understanding that every interaction is also part of the guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily lifeguard operation, ensuring appropriate coverage and active surveillance of all designated pool and water areas.

• Lead, brief and support the lifeguard team, ensuring consistent performance, professionalism and guest service.

• Monitor pool and surrounding recreational areas continuously, identifying potential hazards and taking immediate preventative action.

• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, providing rescue assistance, first aid and CPR when required.

• Ensure all lifeguards maintain valid certifications and are fully trained in emergency response, rescue procedures and operational standards.

• Conduct regular safety drills, briefings and refresher training to ensure the team remains prepared for emergency situations.

• Carry out opening and closing safety checks and ensure required lifesaving and first-aid equipment is available, accessible and in good working condition.

• Maintain accurate records of safety checks, incidents, first-aid cases, training and other required operational documentation.

• Ensure pool rules and safety procedures are communicated clearly and applied consistently while maintaining a positive guest experience.

• Coordinate with Engineering and relevant operational teams regarding water quality, equipment, maintenance concerns and potential safety hazards.

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and presentation throughout pool and recreational areas.

• Prepare team schedules and daily duty allocations to ensure effective operational coverage.

• Engage naturally with guests, providing assistance and information while creating a welcoming and relaxed environment.

• Support children, families and guests requiring additional assistance around pool areas with appropriate care and attention.

• Report and follow up on incidents, hazards and operational concerns promptly in line with established procedures.

• Ensure compliance with applicable UAE safety requirements, company policies and emergency procedures.

• Lead by example, creating a team culture built around safety, accountability, care and genuine hospitality.

• Lifeguard Certification: Valid recognised lifeguard certification appropriate to the role and local regulatory requirements.

• First Aid & CPR: Current First Aid and CPR certification is required.

• Supervisory Experience: Previous experience as a Senior Lifeguard, Lifeguard Supervisor or similar role within a hotel, resort, leisure facility, waterpark or recreational environment.

• Strong Swimming & Rescue Skills: Excellent swimming ability with demonstrated competence in water rescue and emergency response.

• Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of pool safety, risk prevention, emergency procedures and incident management.

• Leadership: Confident supervising, coaching and motivating a team while maintaining clear safety expectations.

• Guest Experience: Approachable and attentive, with the ability to enforce safety requirements professionally while maintaining a warm guest experience.

• Communication: Clear verbal communication skills with the confidence to provide instructions during both everyday operations and emergency situations.

• Physical Fitness: Able to meet the physical demands of lifeguarding, including prolonged observation, swimming, rescue and first-aid response.

• Language Skills: Fluency in English is required; additional languages are an advantage.
