Job Description

As Interim General Manager, your will:

  • Lead with purpose and excellence, ensuring the seamless day-to-day operation of the hotel while upholding the highest standards of personalised, intuitive, and refined service.
  • Act as the guardian of the Sofitel brand image and values, embodying the French art de vivre and safeguarding the hotel’s positioning within the world of modern luxury hospitality.
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences that create emotional connections and lasting memories, fostering a culture of genuine care, elegance, and attention to detail across every touchpoint.
  • Drive sustainable financial performance, maximising revenue and profitability through strategic planning, effective cost management, and a proactive approach to seasonal and market dynamics.
  • Oversee commercial and sales strategies, ensuring the hotel’s visibility and desirability within local, regional, and international markets, whilst maintaining alignment with brand standards and objectives.
  • Inspire, mentor, and develop the leadership team and all Colleagues, cultivating a culture of excellence, empowerment, and continuous learning consistent with Sofitel’s luxury service philosophy.
  • Nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including owners, partners, and the local community, positioning the property as a prestigious destination that reflects both the brand’s French elegance and the spirit of the Polish Riviera.
  • Champion innovation and excellence in operations, leading the hotel confidently into its next chapter of transformation and renovation whilst preserving its heritage and soul.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:·

  • Proven experience as a General Manager in the luxury or premium hotel segment, with a demonstrable record of professional achievements and operational excellence.
  • A refined and charismatic leadership style, marked by openness, emotional intelligence, and a collaborative approach that inspires and empowers teams.
  • Creativity and strategic vision, with the ability to identify opportunities to elevate the hotel’s product, enhance service quality, and strengthen market positioning.
  • An eye for detail coupled with the ability to craft and convey compelling narratives that bring the Sofitel story to life.
  • Strong business acumen, with experience in developing and implementing effective sales, financial, and operational strategies that drive sustainable success.
  • Adaptability and resilience, thriving under pressure and capable of leading with confidence in a dynamic, seasonal environment.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • A deep understanding of the luxury market, including current trends, guest expectations, and the nuances of delivering meaningful, personalised experiences.
