We invite you to join the world of hospitality at Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire as our new Graphic Designer. This role brings the restaurant’s brand, personality, and culinary experience to life through thoughtful, engaging, and consistent visual communication across print, digital, social media, and in-restaurant experiences.

As a Graphic Designer, you will work closely with leadership, culinary, marketing, and operations teams to create materials that support the guest experience, promote the restaurant, and strengthen its connection with the local community.

Please note that this is a contract position with the end date December 31, 2026.

Key Responsibilities

Creative and Brand Design

• Develop and maintain a cohesive visual identity that reflects the restaurant’s brand and values.
• Create menus, signage, promotional materials, event collateral, social media assets, and digital content.
• Develop creative concepts for menu launches, seasonal offerings, events, and promotions.
• Ensure all work is consistent with brand guidelines, typography, colour, imagery, and aesthetic.
• Maintain organized brand assets, templates, and creative files.

Restaurant & Guest Experience

• Create visual materials that enhance the guest experience and bring the restaurant’s story to life.
• Design clear, engaging menus and signage for guests and staff.
• Support special dinners, events, collaborations, partnerships, and community initiatives.
• Ensure all creative materials are accurate, current, and aligned with restaurant standards.

Marketing & Collaboration

• Create social media, email, website, advertising, and promotional assets.
• Collaborate with leadership and marketing teams to develop creative campaigns and storytelling.
• Work with photographers and external creative partners when required.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
• Stay current with design, hospitality, food, and cultural trends.

• 2+ years of graphic design experience, preferably in hospitality, food & beverage, or lifestyle.
• Strong proficiency in Canva Visual Suite and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
• Strong understanding of typography, layout, colour, composition, and visual storytelling.
• Experience designing for both print and digital platforms.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating thoughtful, creative, brand-driven work.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Genuine interest in food, hospitality, culture, and design.
• Strong understanding of print production and digital design formats.
• Ability to adapt designs across platforms while maintaining brand consistency.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive requests.
• Ability to work on-site to understand operations and guest experience.
• Flexibility to support occasional evenings, weekends, events, launches, or special projects.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull (up to 10 kg.) repeatedly and safely throughout the shift.
• Required to stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, and move quickly for extended periods during a shift.
