Job Description

At SLS The Red Sea, our People & Culture team is at the heart of creating a smooth and supportive experience for our people. As a Government Relations Officer, you will play a key role in supporting government-related processes, ensuring employee documentation and transactions are handled accurately, efficiently, and in line with Saudi regulations.

Working closely with the People & Culture team, you will handle government platforms, process visas, permits and employee documentation, follow up on renewals and pending transactions, and coordinate with relevant authorities when required. With a proactive and organized approach, you will help keep processes moving smoothly while ensuring compliance with government requirements and hotel standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and follow up on employee government transactions, including Iqamas, work permits, visas, exit/re-entry visas, final exits, and related documentation.
  • Handle transactions through relevant government platforms, including Qiwa, Muqeem, GOSI, Mudad, Absher, Balady, and Chamber of Commerce, as applicable.
  • Monitor the validity and expiry of Iqamas, work permits, visas, licenses, and other official documents to ensure timely renewal.
  • Support work visa processes for new joiners and coordinate required documentation with the Talent Acquisition and People & Culture teams.
  • Process employee transfers, profession changes, sponsorship matters, and other labor-related transactions.
  • Coordinate with relevant government authorities and external entities to process transactions and follow up on pending cases.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding by completing required government-related formalities.
  • Maintain accurate employee information and ensure records are updated across relevant government systems and platforms.
  • Maintain organized records and trackers for government transactions, applications, renewals, payments, and pending cases.
  • Coordinate with Finance on government fees and payments required for official transactions.
  • Monitor government platforms for updates, notifications, and regulatory requirements and communicate relevant changes within the People & Culture team.
  • Follow up on pending transactions and provide timely updates on progress, delays, or matters requiring escalation.
  • Ensure government-related processes are completed in accordance with Saudi Labor Law, government regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling employee, company, and government-related information.
  • Work collaboratively with the People & Culture team to ensure smooth and efficient employee processes.
  • Contribute to a positive, organized, and people-focused working environment that reflects the culture and values of SLS The Red Sea.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in Government Relations, Human Resources, or a similar role in Saudi Arabia.
  • Good knowledge of Saudi Labor Law, government regulations, and related procedures.
  • Familiarity with government platforms such as Qiwa, Muqeem, GOSI, Mudad, Absher, Balady, and Chamber of Commerce.
  • Strong organizational skills with good attention to detail and follow-up.
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry is an advantage.
