The Opportunity

We’re looking for our next extraordinary team member to join our Food & Beverage team as a Food & Beverage Attendant at Champagne Bar.

Located in the heart of Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour, Champagne Bar is a vibrant space where French flair, exceptional beverages and genuine hospitality come together. As a Food & Beverage Attendant, you’ll be at the heart of the guest experience, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere while delivering attentive and personalised service.

From greeting guests and guiding them through our menu to taking orders, delivering food and beverages and creating those little moments that make a visit memorable, you’ll bring energy, personality and a genuine passion for hospitality to every service.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage with guests, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere from arrival through to farewell.
• Provide attentive, personalised table and beverage service in line with Sofitel standards.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and confidently answer questions about the menu and beverage offering.
• Recommend food, champagne, wine and beverages based on guest preferences.
• Deliver food and beverages efficiently, ensuring presentation and service standards are consistently maintained.
• Maintain a strong knowledge of the Champagne Bar menu, beverage selection and current offerings.
• Anticipate guest needs and look for opportunities to create memorable moments throughout their experience.
• Respond to guest requests and feedback professionally, taking ownership wherever possible.
• Maintain the presentation, cleanliness and organisation of guest and service areas throughout each shift.
• Work closely with the Bartending, Kitchen and wider Food & Beverage teams to ensure smooth service.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, stock replenishment and general operational requirements.
• Maintain responsible service of alcohol, food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards.

About You

You’re a passionate hospitality professional who loves connecting with people and creating memorable guest experiences. Whether you’re already experienced in luxury hospitality or ready to take the next step in your career, you bring energy, enthusiasm and a genuine “can do” attitude to every service.

You bring:

• Previous Food & Beverage or hospitality experience, ideally within a premium, luxury or high-volume environment.
• A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
• A warm, friendly and confident personality with a natural ability to connect with guests.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to make recommendations and answer guest questions.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in maintaining high service and presentation standards.
• The ability to remain calm, organised and attentive in a fast-paced environment.
• A strong team mentality and willingness to support your colleagues wherever needed.
• An interest in champagne, wine, cocktails and the world of premium hospitality.
• A current RSA certificate.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Flexibility to work across evenings, weekends and public holidays.
