Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Partie specializing in Asian cuisine to join our culinary team in Mumbai.  As a key member of our kitchen Heartist, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality Asian dishes, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

  • Prepare and cook a variety of Asian dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards
  • Ensure consistency in food preparation and presentation across all dishes
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain smooth operations during service
  • Manage your station efficiently, including mise en place and inventory control
  • Assist in menu development and suggest innovative Asian dishes
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in Asian cooking techniques
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute ideas for improvement

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role, specializing in Asian cuisine
  • In-depth knowledge of various Asian cooking techniques, flavors, and ingredients
  • Strong culinary skills with the ability to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
  • Excellent knife skills and proficiency in using kitchen equipment
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on consistency and quality
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain portion control
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
