Bar Manager - Opening Mama Shelter Hotel CDMX

• Supervise and coordinate the bar team: scheduling, task allocation, team presence 

• Be present on the floor and lead by example during service 

• Recruit, onboard, and train new team members 

• Track working hours and manage the weekly staff schedule 

• Encourage team growth through ongoing training, evaluations, and feedback (annual reviews, probation follow-up) 

• Maintain a respectful and motivating work environment, in line with Mama’s values 

inventory, cost control & admin 

• Manage inventory of drinks and bar equipment 

• Ensure proper ordering and restocking of supplies 

• Control costs, monitor waste, and take part in pricing decisions 

• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the bar area and equipment 

• Contribute to monthly reporting (sales, losses, customer feedback 

Academic background / Professional Experiences : 

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience as Bar Supervisor or Assistant Bar Manager, ideally in a lifestyle hotel or high-volume bar. 

• Excellent mixology skills and deep knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and drink trends. 

• Experience in team management and cost control. 

• Knowledge of billing systems and cash management procedures. 

• Languages : fluency in the local language, professional English and a 3rd language is a plus.
