Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Assistant Director of Sales to join our dynamic sales team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal leadership role, you will drive day-to-day sales operations, mentor a talented sales team, and play a crucial part in achieving and exceeding our revenue targets. You will work collaboratively with the Director of Sales to implement strategic initiatives, develop profitable business opportunities, and foster strong client relationships across all market segments.   • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Sales team across all assigned market segments, ensuring consistent performance and adherence to departmental standards
  • Support the Director of Sales in developing, implementing, and monitoring sales strategies designed to achieve and exceed forecasted revenue targets for Rooms and Food & Beverage operations
  • Assume full responsibility for sales department operations in the absence of the Director of Sales, demonstrating decisive leadership and sound judgment
  • Lead financial, administrative, and operational activities within the Sales Department under the guidance of the Director of Sales, maintaining detailed records and transparent reporting
  • Manage and develop key accounts within assigned segments, identifying growth opportunities and cultivating long-term, profitable partnerships with clients
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities through proactive market analysis, competitor assessment, and strategic business development initiatives
  • Conduct regular sales calls, account reviews, and site inspections to strengthen client relationships and uncover emerging market opportunities
  • Train, coach, and motivate Sales team members to enhance their performance, develop their skill set, and support their career growth and professional development
  • Prepare comprehensive sales reports, revenue forecasts, annual business plans, and departmental expense budgets with analytical precision
  • Maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with clients, business partners, hotel departments, and regional sales teams to ensure seamless operations
  • Ensure all sales activities, documentation, and processes comply with company policies, procedures, and operational standards
  • Participate in task-force assignments and provide sales support for new hotel openings and special initiatives as requested
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Sales or Department Head, demonstrating flexibility and resilience

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a Sales leadership role, preferably within the hospitality industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Sales, or a related field (preferred)
  • Proven expertise in managing key accounts and developing new business opportunities with measurable results
  • Strong experience in driving revenue growth across multiple segments, particularly Rooms and Food & Beverage operations
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor, and develop sales teams, fostering a collaborative and motivational work environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage clients and internal stakeholders effectively
  • Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and sales management tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail and accuracy in reporting
  • Solid understanding of financial management, budgeting, and performance metrics analysis
  • Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills with a customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans while remaining adaptable to market changes
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Resilience and composure in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment with the ability to meet and exceed targets
  • Willingness to travel within the region as needed for client meetings and business development activities
