Job Description

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Raffles & Fairmont Doha as our new Waiter / Waitress.

The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for delivering thoughtful, intuitive, and personalized dining experiences that reflect the elegance and sophistication of both brands. As a key ambassador of the hotel’s renowned hospitality, the role ensures every guest interaction is warm, engaging, and seamlessly executed from welcome to farewell. The Waiter/Waitress demonstrates exceptional knowledge of menus, beverages, and service standards while anticipating guest preferences and creating memorable moments in a refined luxury environment. Working collaboratively with the culinary and restaurant teams, the role upholds the highest standards of professionalism, attention to detail, and service excellence synonymous with Raffles and Fairmont.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide warm, gracious, and personalized service to guests in accordance with Raffles and Fairmont luxury hospitality standards
  • Ensure seamless dining experiences through attentive and detail-oriented food and beverage service
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of menus, ingredients, beverage pairings, and daily promotions to confidently guide guest selections
  • Anticipate guest preferences and respond promptly to requests with professionalism and discretion
  • Prepare and maintain restaurant mise en place, table settings, and service stations to the highest standards
  • Coordinate closely with culinary and restaurant teams to ensure timely and accurate order delivery
  • Handle guest feedback and service recovery situations with care, empathy, and a solutions-focused approach
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in compliance with hotel and food safety policies
  • Process orders, billing, and payment transactions accurately using POS systems
  • Contribute to a collaborative and positive team culture while supporting operational excellence and guest satisfaction goals

Qualifications

What will you bring to this role?

  • Previous experience in Food & Beverage service, preferably within a luxury hotel or fine dining environment
  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences with a warm and engaging service style
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build genuine guest connections
  • Professional presentation and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining composure and service excellence
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, etiquette, and guest care practices
  • Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures preferred
  • Ability to anticipate guest needs and handle requests or concerns with professionalism and discretion
  • Fluent in English; additional language skills are considered an advantage
  • Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and contribute to a culture of excellence
