Key Responsibilities
- Strategic vision & roadmap: lead ACCOR’s global strategy on all topics related to natural resources & waste: water, biodiversity, food waste, waste, plastic, … ensuring alignment with the Group’s sustainability commitments. Translate global commitments into actionable regional and brand-level roadmaps with the Sustainability Leaders network.
- Operational implementation: drive implementation of cross-functional levers to lower Accor’s environmental footprint (lowering water usage, limiting food waste, preserving nature, etc.) and implement impactful initiatives.
- Advocacy & Partnerships: cultivate strategic partnerships with peers, tech providers, and public institutions to accelerate innovation and scale impact. Represent ACCOR in environment related forums and working groups. Contribute to lobbying efforts to promote Accor vision at the industry level (ex. WHSA).
- Performance: define and steer region-specific KPIs to drive performance and accountability across diverse geographies, in close coordination with the Sustainability Leaders Network.
- Market intelligence: conduct a market watch and benchmarks to get insights into peers, competitors positioning to inform strategic decisions related to Accor’s position on all topics related to sustainable operations.
- Reporting & methodology: ensure robust reporting and compliance with disclosure requirements. Provide methodological assistance to Brands and Regions in measuring and steering the right KPIs.
With a Master's degree (business school, political science, or engineering), you speak fluent English and have:
- 5 to 7 years of experience, including time spent in a consulting firm or corporate role focused on Energy related topics, carbon accounting rules, ESG transformation.
- Management experience required
- Experience working in international environments and managing multi-regional priorities.
- Strong expertise in carbon frameworks and standards (e.g., GHG Protocol, SBTi, CSRD, ESRS).
- Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional initiatives and animate internal networks.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement, including advocacy, partnerships, and public affairs.
- Solid understanding of sustainability trends, regulatory landscapes, and benchmarking practices.
- Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills to tackle carbon accounting related challenges
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and impactful ESG messaging.
- Strong interpersonal skills, active listening, and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
