Job Description

Tour Agent – Full Time, Seasonal

As a Seasonal Tour Agent at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, you will play a key role in delivering seamless arrival and departure experiences for tour groups during the peak travel season (April to October). You will act as a confident brand ambassador for Accor Hotels, collaborating with Tour Representatives and cross-functional hotel teams to ensure exceptional service at every touchpoint. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Collaborate with Royal Service, Front Office Management, Banquets, Guest Services, and Outlet teams to ensure all group reservations align with contracts and event resumes
  • Deliver consistently professional, friendly, and engaging service
  • Review tour reservations five (5), three (3), and one (1) day prior to arrival, ensuring billing, routing, and special requests are accurate and fulfilled
  • Assist in updating Tour Reservations with preferences, comments, etc.
  • Block rooms based on tour profiles and requirements
  • Communicate key details of large group arrivals, departures, and satellite check-ins
  • Coordinate with all departments to ensure readiness for arrivals
  • Expedite arrivals through pre-registration and pre-keying
  • Provide operational support at the Front Desk based on business needs
  • Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external inquiries
  • Follow all departmental policies, procedures, service standards, and safety protocols
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

  • Previous experience in a luxury hotel environment is preferred
  • Familiarity with Opera Cloud or similar property management systems
  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are considered an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Professional and articulate communication skills
  • Highly responsible, reliable, and self-motivated
  • Flexible availability, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as required

Preference will be given to applicants who can commit to the full duration of the season (April 3, 2026, to October 29, 2026)

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of up to 30 lbs. (13.6 kg)
  • Occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
  • Occasional use of stairs, ramps, or ladders

Visa Requirements:
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
