Engaging service, delicious cuisine and distinctive surroundings make every special event a truly memorable affair. Showcase your service and organization strengths as Banquet Server where your attention to detail, safety and quality will help “set the stage” for a successful group function.

Hourly Rate:  $14.73

What you will be doing:

• Serve, clear and re-set tables in a timely manner, while adhering to Fairmont Hotels and Resorts standards
• Assist guest regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
• Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
• Ensure that overall cleanliness and maintenance of our banquet venues exceeds expectation
• Ensure the delivery of excellent service in banquet functions and meeting events
• Set-up and breakdown of functions and meeting events
• Provide any service required by the guests on the banquet floor
• Check service stations for necessary equipment and set up: food, beverages, ice, dishes, and utensils; replenish as needed
• Adhere to the State of Hawaii & EHC (Environmental Health Consultancy) food handling safety standards
• Maintain atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guests
• Focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Be knowledgeable of the island, our resort and its offerings in order to be our guests’ trusted guide

Your experience and skills include:

• One year of Food & Beverage experience required
• Previous experience in luxury hotel environment desirable
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team

Certifications or Licenses: 

• Tuberculosis Certification
• Hawaii Food Safety Certification
• Maui Liquor Card
