Job Description

We're looking for an experienced and strategic Senior Sales Manager, Group & Events to lead our sales initiatives in Istanbul, Türkiye. In this pivotal role, you will drive revenue growth through the development and execution of comprehensive sales strategies targeting group bookings and event business. You will assist a high-performing sales team, cultivate strong client relationships, and position our organization as the premier choice for group and event solutions in the region.

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed group and events revenue targets
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a sales team to deliver exceptional results and maintain high performance standards
  • Identify, pursue, and close high-value group and event opportunities through proactive business development
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients, event planners, and group organizers
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities and refine sales strategies
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients
  • Negotiate contracts and terms to maximize revenue while ensuring client satisfaction
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular reporting to senior management
  • Customize packages and solutions to meet the unique needs of group and event clients
  • Collaborate with operations, marketing, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of group and event programs
  • Represent the organization at industry events and networking opportunities to expand market presence

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of proven sales management experience, with at least 3 years focused on group sales, events, or hospitality
  • Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities with experience building and developing high-performing teams
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills with the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder deals
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales analytics tools
  • Comprehensive understanding of group sales dynamics, event management, and hospitality industry practices
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and sales metrics
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities with capacity to manage multiple priorities
  • Relationship-building expertise and a consultative approach to client engagement
  • Preferred: Fluency in Turkish and English; knowledge of the Istanbul market and regional business landscape
  • Preferred: Experience with event coordination, venue management, or hospitality technology platforms
