What you will be doing

• Ensure the overall safety and security of the guests, employees and property premises
• Act as a member of the Emergency Response team, responding in cases of fire, accident, safety concerns and calls for medical assistance
• Ensure that any violations to law or hotel policy is investigated and reported
• Respond to all emergency situations, and provide First Aid and CPR as required
• Correct and report any fire hazards or health and safety hazards
• Investigate and report any violations to law/property policy, occurrences of accidents, complaints, criminal activity and crisis situations
• Maintain computer records of all actions in Daily Activity Reports
• Conduct regular floor patrols, cash counts and crowd control
• Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
• Conduct regular audits with regards to access control and safety measures
• Follow all department and Hotel policies (procedural, service, and safety)
• Wil lbe required to work shifts of all hours; including overnights, weekends, and holidays
• Other duties as assigned

Your experience and skills include:

• Relevant security experience is an asset
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Valid Certification in Occupational First Aid Level 2 required
• Valid BC Security License required
• Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications
• University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
• Must possess strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team, as well as solo
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remain calm and courteous at all times.

• The Security comprises of highly trained and motivated professionals, all with years of experience in handling difficult situations as well as providing luxury levels of guest services experiences. 
• Security team members are expected to work in a very dynamic and ever changing environment.  From dealing with fires and emergency medical issues to assisting guests discover and enjoy the Hotel’s many luxury facilities
