Job Description

  • Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • Present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions about menu items, specials, and beverages
  • Take accurate food and drink orders using our point-of-sale system
  • Communicate orders to the kitchen staff and bar team efficiently
  • Responsible for specific stations in the restaurants or bars, delivers food and beverage services to customers, possesses the related knowledge, and always present at his/her station.
  • Prepare the restaurants and bars, taking into account the service flow in these areas.
  • Inform customers about order alternatives and encourage the sales of targeted services.
  • Deliver maximum service in each unit, keeping in line with service rules.
  • Prepare the service plates needed throughout service, collect the empty plates, and instruct the Bus Boys and interns.
  • Maintain and any personal belongings of customers that have been left in the workstation and hand such belongings over to his/her supervisors.
  • Comply with the departmental instructions and procedures published by the F&B Department.
  • Carry out duties according to the practices and operational standards identified by the Food and Beverage Manager.
  • Comply with operational rules.
  • Plan working hours as deemed appropriate by the Food and Beverage Manager. Act according to the weekly work schedule and working hours.
  • Strive to achieve 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Carry out all responsibilities related to the quality management and food safety management systems implemented at the facilities.
  • Carry out all other duties assigned by managers and hotel management not specified in the job description.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Waiter in a reputable hotel or restaurant
  • Strong food and beverage product knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work seasonally
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively within a team
  • Outstanding communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods
  • Math skills for handling bills and payments accurately
  • Thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for maintaining a clean and organized dining area
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service
  • Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment
  • Food handling certification is preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is advantageous
