Job Description:

🔹 Main Scope of the Role

  • Ensure a safe working environment.
  • Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections.
  • Identify potential hazards and mitigate risks.
  • Provide safety training to employees.
  • Investigate incidents and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.

🔹 Core Safety & Operational Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies in compliance with local, national, and international regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
  • Lead safety awareness and training sessions.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and execute safety improvement plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, trainings, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure availability and proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Serve as the main point of contact for safety-related matters.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on safety concerns.
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety in the pool area.
  • Monitor pool surroundings for guest and staff safety.
  • Ensure regular cleaning and maintenance of facilities and safety equipment.
  • Conduct daily follow-ups to ensure safety and service standards are maintained.
  • Support implementation of new safety initiatives.
  • Attend daily operational briefings.

  • Maintain excellent grooming and hygiene standards.

  • Assist in task force teams for new openings.
  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks assigned by management.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Planning and organising:

Sustainability Management:

  • Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement sustainability strategies focused on energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction, and sustainable building practices across all properties.
    • Identify and promote best practices for sustainable engineering operations and technology use.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead sustainability projects such as energy audits, retrofitting initiatives, and green building certifications.
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate sustainable solutions into facility design and maintenance.
  • Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Monitor the performance of sustainability initiatives, including energy consumption and waste management metrics.
    • Prepare and present reports on sustainability performance to senior management, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Compliance and Certification:
    • Ensure all engineering activities comply with local and international sustainability regulations and standards.
    • Oversee the certification process for sustainability programs and ensure adherence to green building standards and environmental certifications.

Safety Management:

  • Policy and Procedure Development:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures specific to engineering operations.
    • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards in engineering practices and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Training and Compliance:
    • Organize and conduct safety training programs for engineering staff, focusing on the safe use of equipment and compliance with safety regulations.
    • Ensure that all engineering personnel adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Incident Management:
    • Oversee the investigation of safety incidents and accidents, ensuring that corrective actions are taken and documented.
    • Maintain records of safety incidents, inspections, and compliance with safety regulations.

Administrative Oversight:

  • Operational Support:
    • Manage administrative functions related to sustainability and safety within the Engineering Department, including documentation and record-keeping.
    • Support budget planning and procurement processes for sustainability and safety-related resources.
  • Team Coordination:
    • Supervise administrative staff within the Engineering Department, providing guidance and support on sustainability and safety-related tasks.
    • Coordinate with other departments to integrate sustainability and safety practices into overall operational procedures.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
    • Prepare and maintain comprehensive reports on sustainability and safety performance, including compliance with regulations and standards.
    • Ensure accurate and timely documentation for audits, inspections, and internal reviews.
