Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Purchasing Manager to join our team in Novotel Cairo Airport, Egypt. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisition of goods and services for our organization.

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and budget constraints
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and secure favorable terms to optimize cost savings
  • Analyze market trends, pricing data, and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions
  • Oversee the entire procurement process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and fulfill departmental needs efficiently
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and inventory levels
  • Implement and manage inventory control systems to optimize stock levels and minimize waste
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of inventory and identify discrepancies
  • Generate comprehensive reports on procurement activities, expenditures, and supplier performance
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in procurement and supply chain management
  • Mentor and develop junior team members to build a high-performing procurement department

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, shipping, logistics, and customs clearance
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with procurement software and inventory management systems
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards
  • Understanding of food & beverage products and familiarity with perishable goods management (preferred)
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to challenges
