Portfolio Payroll Officer

We are seeking an experienced, passionate and motivated Payroll Officer to join our newly created Payroll Portfolio. This role is based at Pullman Sydney Hyde Park, supporting the payroll function for 5 key Accor Hotel properties in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. 

Reporting to the Portfolio Accountant, as a team of two, you will ensure timely and accurate processing of the Hotel’s payroll, maintain payroll records, resolve any payroll queries, prepare payroll reports and analyse data. 

• Support the end to end monthly payroll process
• Come up with new initiatives to improve efficiency and payroll delivery
• Be first point of contact for general payroll questions & queries
• Interpret and apply relevant legislation across different states and ensure all awards are updated
• Attend and facilitate payroll meetings
• Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders as you manage payroll projects

• Previous payroll experience within a medium to large organisation, within hospitality desirable however not essential
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• An understanding of awards and legislation
• Good attention to detail
• Confidence handling sensitive and confidential matters with integrity
• A high level of computer proficiency 
• Previous experience with Wage Easy and/or TimeTarget would be highly advantageous
