Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Order Taker to join our team in Cairo, Egypt. As an Order Taker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by accurately recording and processing customer orders in a timely manner. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Answer customer calls and greet walk-in customers promptly and professionally
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring all details and special requests are correctly recorded
  • Enter orders into the Point of Sale (POS) system with precision and efficiency
  • Provide customers with detailed information about menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and pricing
  • Upsell additional items or promote daily specials when appropriate
  • Communicate order details clearly to kitchen staff and coordinate with the service team for timely order fulfillment
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints with patience and professionalism
  • Process payments accurately and provide correct change when necessary
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Stay updated on menu changes, promotions, and company policies
  • Assist with other customer service tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills
  • Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Proficiency in using Point of Sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy in order taking and data entry
  • Basic math skills for handling orders and payments
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Knowledge of food and beverage items (preferred)
  • Previous experience in a similar customer service or order-taking role (preferred)
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): 
•    Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
•    Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
•    Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
•    Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps.
Visa Requirements: Must be legally permitted to work in Egypt.
