Job Description

At Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, we don’t just sell guestrooms and meeting space - we curate experiences within one of the most iconic Five Diamond resorts in the country.

For 35 consecutive years, the Princess has held the AAA Five Diamond distinction - a benchmark of consistency, excellence, and performance that very few resorts nationwide sustain. With 750 guestrooms and over 300,000 square feet of meeting and event space, this is where high-level programs, luxury incentives, and market-defining events come to life.

We are seeking a driven, competitive National Sales Manager to lead our small group segment (10–74 peak rooms). This is not a maintenance role. It is a revenue-driving, fast-paced, lead-intensive position designed for someone who thrives to convert consistently.

Reporting to the Director of Sales, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Initiative, coupled with a sense of competitive drive, and the ability to stay focused on results despite changing conditions, is the key to achieving the performance objectives of this role.
  • The emphasis on building rapport and relationships with individuals and groups requires an outgoing, poised and persuasive communication style.
  • Because the pace of the work is faster than average, the ability to learn quickly and thoroughly while continually recognizing and adapting to changing conditions is critical.
  • While the job requires the ability to act independently, a sense of urgency and the confidence to handle a variety of challenges, a full commitment to the success of the business and high standards of achievement are expected in this position.
  • The emphasis is on results, and effective systems that achieve results through and with people, rather than on the details of implementation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This is not a passive sales role. It is for someone who enjoys competition, urgency, and measurable results.

Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years of hotel or resort sales management experience
  • Based in Arizona and excited to work on property within the resort’s Sales Department (this is not a remote position)
  • Energized by high activity and lead conversion
  • Confident presenting within a luxury environment
  • Competitive, self-motivated, and goal-oriented
  • Extroverted, enthusiastic, persuasive influencer
  • Skilled at building rapport quickly and turning inquiry into commitment
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue goals
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel sales systems
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
  • Professional presence aligned with a luxury hospitality brand
