As a Mixologist at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and flavors that are hallmarks of our restaurant and lounge experience. Your warm, attentive guest service and passion for mixology is worth raising a glass to.

Job duties Include:

• Mix drinks in a timely manner and based on our standardized recipes and service standards
• Develops and creates new beverages for the venue based on current beverage trends. Ensures proper documentation for all ingredients in appropriate recipe files and supports training for all team members
• Responsible for the presentation of the entire bar area, including but not limited to, bottle display, glassware maintenance, seating area, carpet and wall, etc.
• Meet with the Beverage Manager to review current performance of the bar on a daily basis, discuss upcoming changes, review product challenges and staffing requirements, address complaints and resolve problems for both employees and guest
• Conducts tasting panels for new beverages with the staff and provide cocktail seminars for the guest. Keep up to date on new product development and provides information to the entire beverage team about beverage trends
• Maintains beverage cost and inventories. Create beverage requisitions as needed and submit for approval to the Beverage Manage
• Analyzes operational problems such as wastage, lost, theft or non-movement in products and establishes controls

• Minimum 2 years of previous bartending experience in an upscale establishment
• A deep understanding of classic cocktails is a must
• Excellent knowledge of the cocktail anatomy & all beverage products
• Knowledge about infusions and aging spirits
• Fermentation knowledge an asset
• Food pairing experience with different kitchen styles an asset
• Experience in menu development an asset
• Previous experience with international techniques: Sous vide, Rotovap, Fat washing, Spherification, Flash infusion an asset
• Physically capable to lift trays repeatedly, stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
