- Clean and sanitize dishes, crockery, cutlery, pots, and pans with precision
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including the Café Servery, Eat & Chat Room and Level 9 Kitchen.
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables
- Safely dispose of kitchen waste and recycling materials according to established procedures
- Ensure kitchen tools and equipment are organized and in excellent working condition
- Follow cleaning rosters and standard procedures for deep cleaning kitchen facilities and equipment
You will be:
- Experienced in a kitchen environment, preferably in a fast-paced hotel or restaurant
- Physically able to lift heavy items (10-15kg minimum) and manage the demands of a busy kitchen
- Capable of working unsupervised and demonstrating initiative in a dynamic setting
- Skilled in operating industrial/commercial dishwashers is preferred
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to follow instructions and understand job requirements clearly
- Willing to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, with a positive "Can Do" attitude
