Kitchen Employee

We are ibis Schiphol Amsterdam Airport, a three-star hotel with 644 rooms, 6 F&B outlets, 5 meeting rooms, and most importantly, a team of 80 fantastic colleagues who are there for our guests every day!

We are looking for a new Kitchen Employee to join our team at L'Estaminet, our a la carte restaurant. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where timing and precision are everything, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

This is what you will do:
We work with a company that prepares most of our dishes for us. Your job is to manage your time efficiently, multitask, and ensure every dish is served hot and fresh, while also being responsible for the finishing touch. Of course, you will also maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Timing is everything: Prepare dishes simultaneously, ensuring perfect timing.
• Work independently in the kitchen while seamlessly collaborating with the waiting staff to ensure our guests are happy and satisfied.
• Organize and prepare ingredients (mise en place) to ensure smooth operations during service.
• Follow HACCP rules and food safety standards, ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Jump in to assist in other outlets, such as our Burger Bar or Buffet Restaurant, whenever necessary.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in a fast food restaurant or as a production/breakfast chef is beneficial.
• Strong multitasking abilities and excellent time management skills.
• Ability to work independently in the kitchen while maintaining high standards.
• Flexibility to assist in various kitchen outlets and work on different days as needed.
• Knowledge of HACCP is a plus.
