Company Description

The Indirect Procurement department of the Accor Group is a fundamental pillar of the organization, playing a central role in our cost management strategy. With annual expenditures of approximately €800 million, we oversee a diverse range of spending, particularly in the areas of information technology and digital, marketing and communications, as well as intellectual services.

We are responsible for the entire process, from Source to Contract to Procure to Pay, which allows us to ensure efficient and optimized purchasing management, aligned with the strategic objectives of the company. As strategic business partners for all departments within the Accor Group, we play a vital role in achieving over 10% annual savings, thereby contributing to the financial strength and sustainability of the company. Our team excels through close collaboration with the Finance department.

Incorporated within the Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) that manages both Direct and Indirect procurement for the group, our Indirect Purchasing team consists of 12 specialized category managers, divided between IT and non-IT procurement divisions.


Job Description

The Headquarter Procurement Solutions Director is responsible for optimizing and deploying tools benefiting the efficiency and scalability of the Indirect Department. This role supports the
implementation of high-quality standards through automation and the optimization of Source to Contract and Procure to Pay processes. (from esourcing tools to PTP, Long tail solutions, and Savings tracker).


In collaboration with the HQ CPO, he/she will (i) establish the overall vision, define the implementation strategy, and drive the adoption of these tools, (ii) build strong relationships with key
stakeholders within Accor to coordinate successful projects and operations, and ensure client satisfaction.

VISION & STRATEGY

  • -Align the digital roadmap and process improvement initiatives with the Indirect team and internal stakeholders' priorities, and with the team capacity
  • Identify opportunities for quick-win solutions as well as initiating longer term solutions in close collaboration with the Procurement Digital factory & BDT
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholder to define joint visions, KPIs, operational strategy, and manage expectations


BUSINESS PROCESS OWNER

  • Act as Business Process Owner for the internal Product teams or Software providers to support business needs definition, identify and prioritize opportunities to enhance and optimize existing systems, drive continuous improvement across the procurement function
  • Streamline processes to improve time efficiency of the Procurement team, structure the outsourcing of non-strategic tasks to a BPO and monitor their performance, quality and customer satisfaction
  • Act as a top escalation level for internal requests


PROJECT & CHANGE MANAGEMENT

  • Lead or collaborate to the projects framing, tool deployment, and implementation of the operational
  • support of the main Proc. tools(P2P, saving trackers, contract and supplier management tools…)
  • Coordinate change mgmt. initiatives to ensure a smooth transition and adoption of new processes
  • and tools for the Procurement teams, Accor internal stakeholders and outsourced teams


TEAM MANAGEMENT

  • Lead and support the team members by cr eating a safe, engaging and collaborating environment toensure high quality standard and provide opportunities for growth
  • Monitor the HQ Product budget

Interactions with

  • Internal: HQ procurement teams, CPOs, finance teams, Business Digital & Technology teams  (BDT), Procurement Digital Factory teams
  • External: Editors and integrators, BPO providers

Figures

  •  Typically handle 3 to 4 products for 1M€ budget (o/w Coupa, Per Angusta, ScanMarket, Agiloft)
  •  Typically manage ~3 people

Qualifications

  • Education Level: Master's Degree
  • Experience: >10 years, >5 years manager role
  • Strong business acumen, ideally in procurement, to identify opportunities and align digital solutions with business goals
  • Proven track record of successful implementation of large-scale digital projects (P2P (Coupa) tool is a strong plus)
  • Experience in streamlining processes and operations. Implementation of a BPO is a plus

 

  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills to drive stakeholders' engagement
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple stakeholders, business & technical workstreams simultaneously
  • Autonomy, proactiveness and ownership to drive new initiatives and constantly seek for continuous improvement of processes and quality
  • Understands relevant technology trends, the opportunities they bring and when and how to use them.
  • Fluent English and French is a must
