Job Description

Housekeeping Training Manager

Our Housekeeping Training Manager is responsible for the learning and development of the largest department in the hotel. Over see all recruitment and training within the Housekeeping department, keeping our colleagues engaged, educated and excited about their roles.

Salary Range: $66,000 - $69,000, dependent on experience and education

Job Duties Include:

  • Conduct regular inspections of all guest rooms, assisting with Housekeeping Manager on Duty shifts
  • Oversee and manage the learning and development for all Housekeeping colleagues in the hotel.
  • Manage the hotel’s Applicant Tracking System (SmartRecruiters) and stay up to date on requisitions and candidate pools
  • Conducting interviews to fill open housekeeping positions, assessing candidate skills and competencies
  • Develop training and development programs and objectives to improve housekeeping standards

Qualifications

  • Previous Housekeeping experience is required
  • Experience interviewing and hiring
  • Proficient in the use of relevant software an asset (e.g. Microsoft Office, Opera)
  • Ability to maintain high service levels under pressure
  • Proven ability to successfully lead and motivate colleagues
