Job Description

Customer relations

•    Remains polite and courteous at all times whatever customers may request.
•    Respect guest’s privacy while working (for example, by respecting the “Do not disturb” sign).
•    Takes guest’s behavior patterns into consideration.
•    Explains and up sell hotel product to guest in polite manner.


Professional techniques / Production

•    Prepared room assignment for room attendant.
•    Conduct daily briefing with room attendant and issue all information related with hotel operational and any new standard.
•    Well inform to room attendant any VIP guest and special request are in order.
•    Update room status to be ready to sold (Inspected)
•    Follow up any discrepancy in room status
•    Ensure the highest standard of cleanliness is maintained in all rooms and in all area.
•    Keeps stock records and ensure sufficient stock of cleaning supplies and guest supplies are available.
•    Handles guest complaints and missing or damaged items in guestrooms.
•    Report all lost and found items, following the standard procedures.
•    Responsible for master key and walkie talky, record properly for the movement of master key and walkie talky.
•    Solving problem which arise in floor section.
•    Report any guest complaint and accident to superior.
•    Report any suspicion person in the hotel to superior.
•    Continuously conduct training to the staff to keep maintains standard procedure.
•    Evaluate, motivate and make sure staffs are well performing.
•    Ensures that cleanliness, hygiene and safety standard are strictly observed.
•    Ensure that all Room Attendant are provided proper tools and adequate supplies for daily operation.
•    Ensure that all pantries are pantries are adequately stocked with linen according to set policies, neatly organized, and their doors kept closed at all times.
•    Records maintenance and defect found in room and corridors, and sends a report to Engineering.
•    Informs Executive Housekeeper or Asst. Exec Housekeeper of all Out of Order rooms and ensures that any required repaired repair/maintenance is completed as soon as possible.
•    Monitor working hours and performance of subordinates.
•    Make schedule for special cleaning, ensure that the schedule are up date and follow up accordingly and reports to the Executive Housekeeper or Asst. Exec Housekeeper when work is completed.
•    Makes staff schedule relate the forecast of occupancy.
•    Responsible on regular inventory of all linen, room supplies, guest supplies, and other equipment which are related to work area and maintenance the accuracy of data’s given to superior.


Team Management

•    To maintain a strong working relationship with other departments, especially front office and maintenance.
•    To maintain good working relationship with sub ordinate colleagues and superior.
•    Take extreme care with personal grooming in order to maintain a consistently high level of professional appearance.
•    Understand, supportive, encouraging and helpful to all.


Commercial / Sales

•    Ensures harmony in the décor of room and common areas.
•    Knows the hotel product knowledge and its services can improve and encourage guest if asked about them.

Management and administration

•    Monitoring and optimize spend on cleaning product, amenities and supplies.
•    Monitoring of linen usage.
•    Familiar with waste management.
•    Perform special duties as required by the Executive Housekeeper.


Hygiene / Personal safety / Environment

•    Familiar with fire procedures and safety measures and act accordingly in case of occurrence. 
•    To ensure a consistently High standard of personal Hygiene and Grooming stated by the hotel.


Qualifications

•    Vocational certificate in Accommodation or Diploma in Hospitality.
•    At least 1 year experience in the position.
•    Languages: Fluent in the national language and English.
