Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Housekeeping Manager to join our team in the beautiful island of Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As the Housekeeping Manager reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction throughout our property while leading and motivating a diverse team of housekeeping staff.

  • Oversee daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all areas meet or exceed cleanliness standards
  • Develop and implement efficient cleaning procedures and schedules
  • Manage, train, and motivate the housekeeping team to deliver exceptional service
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to maintain quality standards
  • Handle guest complaints and feedback professionally and promptly
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and linens, ensuring cost-effective stock control
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall guest experience
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, focusing on cost control and efficiency
  • Implement and maintain safety and sanitation protocols in compliance with local regulations
  • Continuously seek ways to improve operations and guest satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in housekeeping, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and MS Office suite
  • Outstanding communication skills in English; knowledge of Vietnamese is a plus
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment
  • Familiarity with Vietnamese hospitality standards and local health and safety regulations
  • Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
