Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Housekeeping and Laundry Attendant to join our team at SO/ Uptown Dubai. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of our facilities while ensuring guest satisfaction through your attention to detail and commitment to excellence.

  • Clean and maintain guest rooms, public areas, and assigned spaces per standards.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and restock room supplies.
  • Inspect rooms for cleanliness, maintenance, and safety hazards.
  • Collaborate with departments to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain records of cleaned rooms and completed tasks.
  • Follow safety, hygiene, and company protocols.
  • Operate washing, drying, and folding machinery; manage chemicals and clean lint traps.
  • Inspect and sort stained or damaged items for repair, spot treatment, or disposal.
  • Fold cleaned items by hand or machine and maintain accurate laundry records.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of equipment and work areas.
  • Adhere to safety, security, and company policies while reporting hazards.
  • Support teamwork, maintain professional appearance, and protect company assets.

 


Qualifications

  • Proficiency in cleaning techniques and procedures for various surfaces and areas
  • Experience operating laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and folding machines
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under time constraints
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and supportive demeanor
  • Basic English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or laundry services in a hospitality setting 
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and practices
