Gym & Pool Attendant

As a Gym & Pool Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall guest experience in our gym and pool areas. You will assist guests with their fitness and swimming needs, provide information about the facilities, and ensure that all operations run smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Assistance:

• Welcome and assist guests in the gym and pool areas, providing information about equipment, facilities, and safety procedures.
• Ensure guests are aware of and follow the rules and guidelines for the gym and pool areas.
• Offer guidance and support to guests regarding fitness routines, pool activities, and equipment use.

Facility Maintenance:

• Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the gym and pool areas, including equipment, changing rooms, and surrounding areas.
• Regularly inspect and clean gym equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and reporting any issues to management.
• Ensure the pool area is well-kept, including monitoring water quality and maintaining poolside cleanliness.

Safety & Compliance:

• Monitor the gym and pool areas to ensure the safety of all guests, responding promptly to any incidents or emergencies.
• Conduct routine checks of safety equipment and first aid supplies, ensuring they are fully stocked and operational.
• Enforce safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents and maintain a secure environment for all guests.

Operational Duties:

• Assist with the setup and breakdown of gym and pool equipment, ensuring all items are stored correctly.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to management and follow up on any outstanding issues.
• Keep track of guest usage and provide feedback to management regarding facility usage patterns and guest preferences.

Customer Service:

• Provide excellent customer service, addressing guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional and courteous manner.
• Create a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the gym and pool areas to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Assist in organizing and facilitating fitness classes or pool activities as required.

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with other team members to ensure a cohesive and efficient operation of the gym and pool areas.
• Support and assist colleagues as needed, contributing to a collaborative and positive work environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in sports management, fitness, or a related field is a plus.
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel or wellness environment, is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of fitness equipment, pool operations, and safety procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
