Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and professional Front Desk Agent to join our team in Cairo, Egypt. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional experiences and ensuring smooth hotel operations.

  • Greet and welcome guests with a warm, sincere smile upon arrival
  • Perform efficient check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring 100% accuracy in guest information and room assignments
  • Handle guest inquiries and requests promptly and professionally, providing information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services
  • Process payments and manage financial transactions accurately
  • Assist with reservations, including room bookings, modifications, and cancellations
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure guest needs are met and issues are resolved quickly
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
  • Ensure guest privacy and confidentiality at all times
  • Upsell room upgrades and promote hotel services to drive revenue
  • Handle guest complaints and escalate to management when necessary
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as report generation and inventory management

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in front office operations, preferably in a luxury hotel setting
  • Proficiency in Front Office Systems (e.g., Micros-Fidelio) and Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
  • Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and enthusiastic attitude
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work all shifts including mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Basic math skills for handling financial transactions
  • Knowledge of local attractions and services in Cairo
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): 
•    Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
•    Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
•    Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
•    Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps.
Visa Requirements: Must be legally permitted to work in Egypt.
