Job Description

Sofitel Melbourne on Collins is seeking Food and Beverage Attendants to join the team. The F&B attendant must be a passionate and vibrant hospitality professional who is eager to greet guests from across the world, whilst also remembering a regular face or two.

Your vibrant, accommodating personality combined with your creativity and flair will engage guests and ensure they enjoy an experience that will exceed their expectations.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•Explain the menu and beverage list to guests, assisting those with special dietary needs or preferences as well as provide suitable assistance when recommending beverages

•Use Micros to place orders

•Liaise with the outlet Kitchen teams on special requests

•Clear and reset tables as well as ensuring service areas are clean and tidy

•Maintain standards of hygiene for food handling and presentation

•Promote a safe workplace by recognising hazards and promoting general OHS practises


Qualifications

YOUR SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

•Have a minimum 12 months experience in a luxury hotel environment

•Be highly organised and able to effectively manage priorities

•Strong focus on guest and team relations. Initiate contact and establish rapport easily

•Project a professional image at all times through personal presentation/interpersonal skills

•Handle tasks carefully and correctly – be thorough and exact in details with a sense of urgency

•Display high energy levels and demonstrate versatility in responding to guest requests and situations

•Remain calm and effective in high volume work situations

•Be good team player; contribute to and assist co-workers without being asked

•Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays

•Valid RSA
