Food & Beverage Attendant

Mercure Canberra is one of the city’s first established hotels, combining old-world charm with modern comforts. The hotel is located moments from the CBD, as well as the National Convention Centre and Australian War Memorial.

Main responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting the Food & Beverage Department across all outlets, including bar & bistro service, room service and conferencing 
• Explaining the menu to guests, assisting those with special dietary needs as well as providing suitable beverage options.
• Use of the POS system to place orders
• Ensuring accuracy whilst ordering and delivering goods
• Set up and pack down of conference rooms

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A friendly, customer-focused attitude with passion to exceed expectations
• An RSA and RCG certificate
• The ability and flexibility to work various rostered shifts, inlcuding evenings and weekends
