Engineering Manager

The Swissôtel Nankai Osaka is seeking a high-calibre Hotel Manager to help lead one of Osaka’s most prestigious 5-star properties - a premier destination renowned for hosting international conferences, luxury weddings, and VIP delegations.

STEP INTO THE ROLE

• Reporting to the Director of Engineering support  operations across the hotel, including building maintenance, plant systems, infrastructure, and compliance with safety standards.
• Oversee a skilled team delivering high-quality support for guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house, and event spaces, while coordinating with contractors and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Coordinate  preventative maintenance, sustainability efforts, and capital projects, contributing to budgeting, procurement, and continuous improvements in energy efficiency and service delivery.

• プロジェクト担当者として現場の立ち会い・監督
• 予防保全、サステナビリティ活動、資本的支出(CAPEX) 、予算、エネルギーデータなどの管理・調整

SKILLS THAT HELP YOU SHINE

• Trade-qualified in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or a related field, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in hotel, luxury residential, hospital, or high-rise commercial maintenance.
• Proven background in hospitality environments and strong knowledge of building systems, BMS, and local compliance requirements.
• Effective team leader with the ability to motivate, manage, and develop technical staff while maintaining a safety-first, solutions-oriented mindset.
• Responsive and reliable under pressure, with the flexibility to support a 24/7 operation, including emergency situations and major events.
• Fluent in Japanese (essential) with strong coordination and communication skills; English proficiency is a plus.

• 電気、機械、配管、または関連分野での専門資格を有している方歓迎
• ホテルや大型商業施設等での施設維持管理業務において、少なくとも5年以上の実務経験を有する方
• ホスピタリティ業界での実績があり、建物設備、BMS（ビルマネジメントシステム）、および関連法令に関する深い知識を持つ方。
• 安全を最優先に考え、リーダーシップをもち、チームでの問題解決やスタッフの育成を主導できる方
• 各種工事やイベント、緊急性を伴う事案に対して柔軟に対応でき、迅速かつ正確に対応できる方
• 日本語を母国語とする方、またはネイティブレベルの日本語必須。円滑なコミュニケーションを心がけられる方で、英語力があれば尚可。
