Job Description

As the Duty Manager at Villa Haven, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Front Office and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the Front Office team, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation
  • Overseeing guest check-in and check-out processes, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
  • Handling guest enquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally
  • Monitoring and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the resort
  • Coordinating with other departments (e.g., Housekeeping, Maintenance, F&B) to ensure seamless guest service
  • Managing room inventory and maximising occupancy rates
  • Implementing and enforcing health and safety protocols
  • Handling cash, credit card transactions, and daily financial reconciliations
  • Preparing daily reports on occupancy, revenue, and guest feedback
  • Conducting regular property walks to identify and address any maintenance or security issues
  • Managing crisis situations and emergency procedures when required
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Identifying opportunities for service improvements and implementing new initiatives
  • Representing the resort in a professional manner at all times, embodying our brand values and ethos

This role requires a high level of flexibility, as you will be working on a shift basis, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.


Qualifications

 

  • Proven experience of at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury resort or hotel.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Proficient knowledge of property management systems (PMS) and guest service software, with experience in Opera PMS preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Fluency in English and Russian; additional languages are a plus, particularly Arabic.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management, forecasting, and revenue optimisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation in a luxury hospitality environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and delegate effectively.
  • Proven track record of implementing and improving standard operating procedures to enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and emergency procedures in the hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with hotel-specific software applications.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills with the ability to handle guest complaints and difficult situations diplomatically.
  • Certification in hospitality management or related field (e.g., HOSPA, HCIMA) is desirable.
