Job Description

As a Director of Sales - MICE at Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort you are responsible to monitor sales MICE production and adjust sales activities to achieve planned goals within your region in order to deliver qualified leads and service existing accounts, whereby your role will include key responsibilities such as:


•Develop active communication and close rapport with convention bureau, MICE organizers,  and other sources of sales information and support.

•Identify, solicit and service all MICE accounts in liaison with the other sales divisions including Jakarta Sales Office team. 

•Handle all incoming group and MICE leads generated, jointly with the concerned sales division, including all communication, negotiation and contracting required

•Assess group business to maximize contribution from available public space and generate room revenues whilst achieving banqueting budgets.

•Yield all leads prior to the offer letter being sent out in terms of hotel selected, venue assigned or rates offered within the area set up.

•Ensure that sales and catering PMS is well managed, maintained and updated as per company policy and standards

•Attend MICE exhibitions and road shows and arrange or conduct site inspections of hotel’s facilities

•Set up and update group & MICE selling strategies in conjunction with the Revenue Managers & Director of Commercial.

•Develop annual sales MICE department budget and execute the sales programs and activities within it.


  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the MICE segment within the luxury market in Indonesia.
  • Fluent proficiency in English is essential.
  • Knowledge of accounting and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Proficient in prospecting and contract negotiation.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a customer-centric approach.
  • Comprehensive understanding of hotel departments and organizational planning, with adept problem-solving skills and a commitment to meeting deadlines consistently.
  • Highly organised, results-oriented, and reliable, with a passion for excellence in guest service.
  • Collaborative team player with a supportive attitude.
  • Familiarity with Opera is advantageous.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, with a proactive initiative.
  • Track record meeting or exceeding sales goals and developing long term relationships and contacts.
