Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Rooms to join our team in Baghdad, Iraq. As a key member of our executive leadership, you will oversee the entire rooms division, including front office and housekeeping operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence.

  • Lead and manage the front office and housekeeping teams, fostering a culture of superior guest service and operational efficiency
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize room revenue, occupancy rates, and guest satisfaction
  • Oversee the rooms division budget, including forecasting, cost control, and profit maximization
  • Establish and maintain standard operating procedures for all rooms division departments
  • Analyze performance metrics and guest feedback to continuously improve service quality and operational effectiveness
  • Collaborate with other department heads to ensure seamless guest experiences across all touchpoints
  • Spearhead innovative projects and initiatives to enhance guest services and streamline operations
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and security regulations
  • Mentor, coach, and develop team members to build a high-performing, motivated workforce
  • Implement and oversee sustainability initiatives within the rooms division to reduce environmental impact and improve efficiency
  • Conduct regular property tours and inspections to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation
  • Develop and manage crisis response protocols for the rooms division, ensuring guest and staff safety in emergency situations
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements, implementing innovative solutions to enhance guest experiences and operational efficiency

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as Director of Rooms, with at least 3 years in a senior management role
  • Proven track record of successfully managing rooms division operations in upscale or luxury hotels
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff
  • Outstanding problem-solving and decision-making abilities
