Job Description

We are seeking a visionary and analytical Director of Finance to join our team in Alexandria, Egypt. As a key member of our senior leadership, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, driving strategic financial planning, and ensuring the long-term financial health of our organization.

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives
  • Lead and manage the finance department, overseeing all accounting, budgeting, financial planning, and analysis functions
  • Direct the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, and tax returns
  • Oversee the company's budget process, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to senior management
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and financial institutions
  • Implement and maintain robust financial controls and risk management processes
  • Drive financial innovation and process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization
  • Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and reporting standards
  • Collaborate with other department heads to develop financial plans and forecasts
  • Present financial reports to the board of directors, highlighting insights and recommended actions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, including full-cycle accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Excellent knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and internal control best practices
  • Proficiency in advanced financial modeling and analysis techniques
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial software; knowledge of data visualization tools is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Exceptional leadership abilities with experience managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to diverse audiences
  • Proven track record of driving financial strategy and contributing to organizational growth
  • Experience in international finance and familiarity with Egyptian financial regulations is highly desirable
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards in handling sensitive financial information
  • Fluency in English required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus
