We are seeking a talented and dedicated Demi Chef de Partie to join our culinary team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of food quality and presentation while supporting the Chef de Partie in daily operations.
- Assist the Chef de Partie in organizing and managing the assigned kitchen section
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Ensure proper mise-en-place for your station and maintain cleanliness throughout your shift
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely food service
- Monitor and maintain proper food storage, handling, and safety practices
- Contribute to menu development and suggest new dishes or improvements
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
- Participate in inventory management and food cost control
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations
- Assist in other kitchen sections as needed during peak hours or staff shortages
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role within a professional kitchen setting
- Culinary education or relevant certifications in the culinary arts
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong teamwork abilities and a collaborative mindset
- In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation standards
- Thorough understanding of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Creative approach to food preparation and presentation
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when required
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools
- Adaptability to work in diverse cultural environments
