We are seeking a highly motivated Part Time - Cook to join our welcoming team providing the highest quality food service for our guests at our Canberra Domestic Lounges!

What is the role?

Our Cooks provide service between our a la carte and buffet environments. All our roles are focused on exciting our guests with flair and enthusiasm and demonstrating a genuine passion for cooking and the kitchen. Reporting directly to the Head Chef, you will form a key part of a team who are responsible for providing high quality product to our lounge passengers.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Prepare, cook and serve food for the breakfast buffet showing variety and flair
• Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage following stock control procedures 
• Assist the preparation of ingredients, which includes chopping, slicing, dicing, and measuring food products.
• Ensure Food Safety protocols are followed
• Keep all working areas clean and tidy. Cook is required to wash all dishes during service 
• Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned. Report any problems to the CDP & Head Chef

• Proven experience as a Cook in a high-volume kitchen
• Experience and knowledge working in mass production and large volumes
• Strong culinary skills and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Culinary degree or equivalent an advantage but not essential.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• MUST have full working rights within Australia 
• Able to work a Full Time contract 
• Ability to pass a federal police background security check
