Conference Supervisor

You will be responsible for the efficient running of the operations in the conference area, reporting directly to the Operations Manager. 

• Delegating duties among staff so all aspects of the shift are covered, ensuring concise handover to the next shift
• Take all practicable steps to ensure a safe working environment, following all H&S policies and procedures
• Coordinate catering, banquet setups, and technical requirements with relevant hotel teams.
• Supervise setup, service, and breakdown of all banquet functions.
• Ensure function rooms are set to standard, with all necessary equipment and supplies in place.
• Maintain a guest-focused approach, personalizing service to ensure every guest feels valued and attended to.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing issues promptly and maintaining high service standards.
• Managing allergen controls to ensure safe practices are maintained.
• Manage and co-ordinate day to day operations with effective planning.
• Communicate with key departments within the hotel.

• Excellent communication skills shown to staff, suppliers and guests
• At least one year experience in a similar position
• At least one year experience in a supervisor position preferred
• A supportive, hands-on management style that shows effective leadership traits
• LCQ and Managers License is preferred
