We are looking for a lead ambassador for Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour as Full Time Concierge Supervisor. The ambassador should an eye for detail, a passion for creating magnifique luxury experience for our guests and developing a wonderful team.

YOUR PURPOSE: You are the compass for their team and the key to the city for guests—leading with grace, knowledge, and unwavering commitment to excellence.


Job Description

Our Ambassador will:

  • To ensure that the highest level of customer satisfaction & service is offered and maintained at all times in relation to welcoming guests, responding to requests and queries, while leading the concierge team and managing relations with suppliers.
  • Assist with the Front Office operation to achieve a reputation as a market leader in individualised customer focused service.
  • Respond to all guest enquiries within 24 hours, regarding local attractions, restaurants, and tours.  Offering the best product or service to meet the guest’s individual requirements.
  • Manage the hotel VIP programme and reports, liaising with other departments as required.
  • Ensure that each guest profile is updated at the end of the guest’s stay with accurate and complete guest history to enhance our Return Guest programme.
  • Be proactive in the services concierge offers, follow up all reservations, bookings and recommendations to ensure quality and guest satisfaction is at the optimal level.
  • Ensure that each member of the front office and reservations team are able to sell the activities to our guests.
  • Effective supervision of all guest arrivals and departures ensuring guest baggage is taken to guest rooms or stored promptly and securely.
  • Supervision of the Hotel’s car parking service, ensuring safety, care and secure parking and timely retrieval are hallmarks of this service.  Abide by Accor Driver’s Policy.

Qualifications

  • Must have Valid Full New Zealand Drivers Licence. Applications without this requirement will be declined unfortunately. 
  • Clean Driving History
  • Minimum 12 months in a supervisory position in a luxury hotel or similar environment
  • Strong Presentation and organisation skills
  • Ability to work in the fast paced environment and be proactive
  • Previous hotel experience is a bonus
  • Customer Service Skills is a key
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal  
  • Positive Luxury Attitude
