Novotel and Ibis World Trade Centre is looking for Complex Director of Rooms who provides strategic and operational leadership across the Rooms Division for both Novotel and Ibis World Trade Centre, Dubai. This senior leadership role ensures the seamless coordination of Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Experience, Concierge, and Laundry operations while driving guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and profitability.

As part of the cluster executive team, the Director of Rooms serves as a key business partner to the Cluster Hotel Manager responsible for service excellence, brand compliance, and the continuous development of talent and operational standards across both properties.

Job Description

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement the Rooms Division strategy for both hotels in alignment with Accor brand standards and cluster objectives.
  • Translate business goals into actionable operational plans that enhance guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and financial results.
  • Actively contribute to cluster leadership discussions and cross-departmental projects.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee all operational areas of the Rooms Division, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Concierge, and Guest Experience.
  • Ensure both hotels consistently meet or exceed brand audit and service performance standards (TrustYou and other channels).
  • Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and maintain exceptional cleanliness and maintenance standards.
  • Ensure rooms are ready for sale and align with brand identity and guest expectations.

Financial & Business Performance

  • Develop and manage the Rooms Division budgets for both hotels, including forecasting, payroll control, and cost efficiency.
  • Monitor performance indicators such as occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, GOP, and guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Revenue and Finance teams to optimize rooms inventory, pricing strategy, and ancillary revenues (upselling, late check-outs, etc.).
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve profitability and operational productivity.

Guest Experience & Quality

  • Lead guest experience programs and ensure proactive guest engagement across both brands.
  • Review guest feedback, identify recurring issues, and develop improvement plans.
  • Personally handle VIP arrivals, key clients, and special guests as required.
  • Serve as an ambassador of the Heartist culture, ensuring each interaction reflects Accor’s commitment to caring hospitality.

People Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop all Rooms Division leaders and teams across both hotels.
  • Foster a culture of empowerment, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Create and execute succession planning, cross-exposure, and development programs between Novotel and Ibis.
  • Champion Diversity & Inclusion and support talent development initiatives in partnership with the Cluster People & Culture team.

Compliance, Safety & Sustainability

  • Ensure all Rooms Division operations comply with local laws, health and safety regulations, and Accor standards.
  • Oversee fire, life, and safety procedures for guest areas and rooms operations.
  • Support sustainability goals and efficient resource management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or related field.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of progressive Rooms Division leadership experience in an international hotel chain.
  • Proven experience as Director of Rooms, or Complex Rooms Leader within a multi-brand or cluster environment.
  • Previous experience in Accor brands (Novotel and Ibis) preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Opera cloud PMS, Oasys, and Accor digital systems.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
  • Expertise in guest experience measurement tools (TrustYou and other channels).
  • Exceptional leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English
