Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join our dynamic team in Jakarta, Indonesia. In this role, you will work collaboratively with the Food & Beverage Manager to deliver exceptional dining experiences while leading and developing our talented F&B team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who is passionate about hospitality and committed to operational excellence.

  • Assist in managing daily operations of the food and beverage department while maintaining high standards of quality, service, and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with the F&B Manager to develop and implement innovative menu concepts, service strategies, and operational improvements
  • Lead, train, mentor, and motivate F&B team members to consistently deliver outstanding customer service and maintain professional standards
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, implement cost control measures, and optimize profitability through efficient resource management
  • Ensure strict compliance with food safety regulations, health codes, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment
  • Address guest complaints promptly, professionally, and empathetically to resolve issues and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing special events, promotions, and themed dining experiences
  • Analyze sales data, guest feedback, and operational metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Participate in staff scheduling, payroll management, and performance evaluations to support team development
  • Manage vendor and supplier relationships to ensure quality products and competitive pricing
  • Stay current with industry trends, culinary innovations, and best practices in F&B operations
  • Customize service experiences based on guest preferences and dietary requirements
  • Support the F&B Manager in budget planning and financial management of departmental operations

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a senior Food & Beverage role, preferably in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality establishment
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage service procedures, standards, and best practices
  • Excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Creative problem-solver with the ability to think quickly and make decisive decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer-focused mindset with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences
  • Proficiency in inventory management, cost control techniques, and financial analysis
  • Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and restaurant management software
  • Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification
  • In-depth knowledge of various cuisines, culinary trends, and beverage programs
  • Experience in event planning and execution
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze sales data and guest feedback to drive operational improvements
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Vendor and supplier relationship management experience
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Indonesian language is highly valued
  • Resilience and adaptability in managing challenging situations and changing priorities
