Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant F&B Manager to join our dynamic team in Mumbai, India. In this role, you will support the F&B Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and service quality. You will play a key role in managing staff, controlling costs, and driving operational excellence across our food and beverage services.

  • Assist in supervising and training F&B staff, ensuring consistent service standards and professional behavior
  • Monitor and maintain food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols in compliance with local regulations and organizational standards
  • Manage inventory levels, track stock movements, and coordinate with vendors to ensure cost-effective procurement
  • Operate and troubleshoot POS systems to process transactions, manage orders, and generate operational reports
  • Support the development and implementation of menus, pricing strategies, and promotional activities
  • Conduct regular quality checks on food preparation, presentation, and service delivery
  • Address guest concerns and complaints professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Assist in scheduling staff, managing payroll records, and maintaining attendance documentation
  • Analyze F&B costs and identify opportunities for waste reduction and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to optimize workflow and resolve operational challenges
  • Prepare reports on sales performance, inventory discrepancies, and operational metrics for management review

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of hands-on experience in F&B operations, restaurant management, or hospitality environments
  • Proficiency with POS systems and point-of-sale software
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene protocols, and local Mumbai food regulations
  • Demonstrated experience in inventory management and cost control
  • Proven ability to supervise and motivate diverse teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic financial analysis
  • Customer service excellence with a focus on guest satisfaction
  • Preferred: Experience in multi-unit F&B operations or event management
  • Preferred: Knowledge of vendor management and procurement processes
  • Preferred: Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
