Job Description

What you'll do...

As the Leisure Sales Manager, you will support three properties, Hyde Mexico City Reforma, Mama Shelter Roma and Mondrian Mexico City Condesa. As a key member of the commercial team, you will be responsible for driving leisure segment performance, developing strategic partnerships, and maximizing revenue opportunities across all three properties in alignment with brand objectives.

  • Lead and manage all leisure sales activities to maximize revenue for the hotel
  • Prepare, implement and compile data for the strategic sales plan, monthly SMART goals, annual goals, sales and marketing budget, forecasts and other reports as directed/required
  • Collaborate with the DOS to develop rates, group ceilings and deployment strategies through review of competitive data, demand analysis and mix management
  • Builds client base through outside sales calls, sales blitzes, cold calling, prospecting, direct mail, networking, and referrals.
  • Participate in sales presentations, property tours and customer meetings
  • Identify and pursue prospective transient business from free market information, as well as information from purchased lead sources, analyzing historical and other statistical information (market segment, account mix goals), participating in conducting customer interviews and preparing customer call analysis report
  • Identifies gap periods (30/60/90 days & beyond), recommends targeted sales & marketing
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the CRS system and GDS system
  • Maintain product knowledge at all times including all relevant rate structures and promotional offers
  • Within established parameters, quote and negotiate prices with customer representatives confirming reservations by letter and drawing up contracts; sign for the hotel and obtain customer signature to close the transaction
  • Conduct and attend business review meetings, strategic sales meetings, management meetings and other meetings as required/ requested
  • Represent the hotel in community and industry organizations and events
  • Participate as team player with other key leadership members
  • Be a leader and role model to all team members
  • Maintains effective involvement with key community organizations
  • Achieve established room nights and revenue as outlined by the agreed upon goals
  • Any other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager
  • We recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service.  We will on occasion call for each individual in the team to on a routine basis perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional guest service.

 


Qualifications

About You...

  • You have a minimum of three (3) years of sales leadership experience in similar sized operation required, preferably in an upscale and/or lifestyle brand hotel
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office Suite and relevant sales systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to manage tasks and projects, work independently, and demonstrate good judgment
  • Ability to interact effectively with a variety of personnel at different levels throughout the business 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • You execute. You get things done. You solve problems
  • You have a keen eye for detail and stay on top of any project
  • You’re a master at multi-tasking and have great organizational skills
  • You jump out of bed every morning, fizzing with energy and jazzed about what you’re doing today
  • You are humble.  There are no egos, and no drama
  • You have the ability to work a varied schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays when necessary
