The Shift Building Operator reports to the Director of Engineering and is responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the hotel's building systems and equipment. This includes operating and monitoring HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, as well as performing routine maintenance and inspections. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of building systems and equipment, as well as excellent customer service skills.

What you will be doing:

>Operate and monitor HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems

>Perform routine maintenance and inspections of building systems and equipment

>Identify and resolve minor maintenance issues

>Report major maintenance issues to the Lead Shift Building Operator / Director of Engineering

>Maintain records of all maintenance and repairs

>Work with other building operators to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel's building systems

>Provide excellent customer service to guests and employees

>High school diploma or equivalent

>2+ years of experience in a building operator role, preferably in a luxury hotel environment

>Trade certificaton – Electrical,plumbing, 3rd class Power Engineer

>Strong understanding of building systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems

>Ability to follow and understand written and verbal instructions

>Ability to work independently and as part of a team

>Excellent customer service skills

Schedules:  Shift Work inlcuding Weekends & Holidays
